摘要: A nanocomposite solder alloy with 99.3Sn-0.7Cu base alloy was successfully fabricated using the powder metallurgy route which consists of blending, compaction and sintering. Varying amount of nano size silicon nitride particulates were introduced as reinforcements to obtain a novel lead-free nanocomposite solder alloy. Following fabrication, the sintered nanocomposite solder were cut into thin solder disc and were analyzed in terms of their wettability, electrical and mechanical properties. Wettability, electrical and mechanical properties of the nanocomposite solder were compared to 99.3Sn-0.7Cu and 96.3Sn-3.0Ag-0.5Cu lead-free solder which were fabricated with the same method using powder metallurgy route. Wettability property of the nanocomposite solder was found to be in the accepted range with wettability angle below 45° similar to 99.3Sn-0.7Cu and 96.3Sn-3.0Ag-0.5Cu lead-free solder. Besides wettability, the results of electrical and mechanical properties analysis showed that additions of nano size Si3N4 had enhanced the strength and electrical conductivity of nanocomposite solder comparing to 99.3Sn-0.7Cu and 96.3Sn-3.0Ag-0.5Cu lead-free solder.

摘要: Wood plastic composites (WPC) prepared from poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) and Balau wood particles were studied in the current research. Various particles sizes of wood flour with a top cut of 45, 75, 106, 180 and 250 µm was investigated at the range of 0-80 phr. Experimental results indicated that WPC was more stiff and brittle when the Balau wood flour was applied at all compositions. There was no statistically significant difference in the tensile strength and the elongation at break among the composites with different particle sizes. Treating the composites with silane coupling agent induced increments in both the impact strength and the tensile elongation at break.

摘要: In order to reveal impact of environment humidity and temperature on properties of indoor decorated materials, the paper tested physical and mechanical prosperities of 5 kinds of wood-based panels according to European standards after equilibrium treatments in 3 types of atmosphere. The results showed that the tested materials were very hydrophilic and their strength were closely related to moisture content. Internal bond, modulus of rupture, 24h-thickness swelling and surface soundness of wood-based panels decreased at high temperature and high humidity atmosphere and increased in low temperature and low humidity surroundings, and the decrement are greater than the increment. In contrast, density almost kept the same value during these treatments.

摘要: 1.75 mol % Y2O3-stabilized ZrO2-based composites with 35-95 vol % TiN were fully densified by hot pressing for 1 hour at 1550°C under a load of 28 MPa. The TiN grain size was found to increase with increasing TiN content, resulting in a decreasing hardness and strength. The best mechanical properties, i.e., an indentation toughness of 5.9 MPa.m1/2 in combination with a Vickers hardness of 14.7 GPa and an excellent bending strength of 1674 MPa were obtained for the composites with 40 vol % TiN. The active toughening mechanisms were identified and their contribution to the overall composite toughness is discussed. Transformation toughening was found to be the primary toughening mechanism in all investigated composites.

摘要: The α to β phase transformation of PVDF through the stretching process at different temperatures was investigated. The optimum stretching conditions were studied and characterised by infrared spectroscopy and differential scanning calorimetry. The maximum β−phase content was achieved at 80°C and a stretch ratio of 5. Accompanying the phase transformation, a orientation of the polymer chains and a packing of the crystalline structure is observed. The stretch ratio does not significantly affect the degree of crystallinity.
